Braylee Reed - Heart Surgery

Donation protected
Braylee Reed is a full of life 10 year old Rabun County School student. Braylee was born with a very rare heart condition, doctors have said since she was 2 weeks old she would need this surgery to repair her heart, but she is a strong fighter and has been able to live a mostly normal life so far, the time has now come for her to have the full open heart surgery. The regular cardiologist appointments have always been a financial challenge, but Braylee’s feisty spirit has no doubt come from her mother Keshia Reed, who has been a single mother most of Braylee’s life, and has done all this on her own with the love & support of her family. The pandemic has created new life challenges for us all but especially so for Braylee and Keshia. Unfortunately at the start of the pandemic Keshia was laid off from her full time job and dedicated most of the year to “virtual learning” for Braylee and her step-son.
After a visit to the cardiologist in October it was determined that Braylee’s condition was to the point of needing open heart surgery.
Surgery will be January 6th, it is expected Braylee and her mom will be spending 1-2 weeks in the hospital with an additional 2-4 weeks at home recovery time. This is a time in which the family will be experiencing additional expenses and strains with no additional income. We are asking for a goal of $4,000 to assist through-the month of January with some household and medical expenses.

Any amount of support and love is greatly appreciated.
