Brayden’s Wish List
Donation protected
My son Brayden was diagnosed with Anaplastic ependymoma when he was 3 years old, a rare reoccurring brain cancer. Brayden had brain surgery to remove the tumor and we were sent to St Jude for radiation treatment for 6 weeks. At this point his cancer was gone and we were ecstatic!
5 years ago we got the unfortunate news that his tumor had returned. We were then sent back to St Jude for him to have chemotherapy. Chemotherapy wasn’t working so they stopped treatment and sent us home where he had 3 brain surgeries in 2 days. They had got most of his tumor out but a small piece was left so they did Gamma Knife, a one time radiation. We were then going in for regular check ups keeping an eye on the small piece of tumor that was left until it was gone. Proving brayden beat cancer again!!!
Brayden is now 12 years old and last week returned to St. Jude for another 5 year check up. We recieved the unfortunate news that his cancer has returned and he has relapsed again. Being that the tumor is in the same spot there are not many options for treatment. They are going to try Gamma Knife again and we are praying this will work. Brayden is now old enough to understand what is going on and as a mother it is heartbreaking that I can’t take his fear from him. We have a family trip coming up in April for 2 weeks and I would love to make this a trip he will never forget. Brayden still has wishes that have gone unfulfilled. Two of those wishes that can be done in Florida are swimming with Dolphins and to go to Lego land. Any kind of donation is appreciated. If you can’t donate please share & get the word out to help Brayden fulfill some of his wishes as we don’t know what the future holds. As always prayers are needed and appreciated. Thank you in advance.
