Brayden’s Battle with E.Coli and HUS

Hello, my name is Erica. My 9 year old nephew has been in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville with an extremely severe E.Coli infection. A few days after getting this, the infection caused him to develop HUS (Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.) It is a serious disease that affects the kidneys and blood clotting system. He has since received platelets, and is currently receiving blood transfusions and dialysis.

My sister, his Mom, is a single Mom of two. She had to take a leave from both of her jobs to be with my nephew while he’s in the hospital. She isn’t one to ask for help but due to her losing part of her income, I felt this was a circumstance that was suitable enough to start a GoFund to try and help her out with medical expenses and any other expenses that she will have during his hospital stay and recovery period. Any donation, even the smallest amount, would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to her. My nephew has a long and rocky road ahead of him, and will be in the hospital for quite some time.
