My son Braxton suffered a traumatic brain injury in December of 2023. Since that day, our lives have changed in ways we never could have imagined. I have been unable to return to work because I am now Braxton’s full-time caretaker. His recovery has been nothing short of amazing, but it is a slow and challenging progression. Every day brings new hurdles, but also new hope as we watch him fight to regain his strength and independence.

As a family, we are struggling financially. The costs of daily living, combined with the extra care Braxton needs, have made it difficult to keep up. One of our biggest challenges right now is transportation. I am trying to get a wheelchair accessible vehicle so Braxton can experience more of life outside of doctor’s appointments. Being able to go places together as a family would mean the world to us and would give Braxton more opportunities to heal and connect with others.
