In 2021, Jake was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and following a successful surgery, was given the all clear. Now, 6 months away from being discharged from oncology follow-ups, we are raising money to give back.

On Christmas Day, we are both taking part in the Weymouth Harbour Swim to help raise funds to look after current and future cancer patients.

Neither of us has any experience with cold water swimming, but we are braving the 70m challenge for a good cause.

The oncology department was a godsend when Jake faced his cancer diagnosis during the Covid pandemic. The brilliant consultant, Dr Geldart, and the supportive and helpful CNS Steph, provided the support we needed, and the quick diagnosis and intervention meant Jake didn't need any chemo or radiotherapy. Lots of patients aren't as lucky, so please help us raise funds to provide the department with life-saving equipment and small comforts to patients and their families.
