Brave Single Mumma's Fight For Life
My beautiful friend, Linda, was diagnosed with the aggressive triple negative breast cancer 3 months ago and is currently undergoing treatment at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital.
Linda is a single mumma who, due to chemo, surgery and radiation, is unable to continue working in child care and support her 15 year old son, Dylan.
Linda is the type of person who would always put herself last no matter what challenges she may be facing in her own life. Her warm and positive outlook on life along with her hilarious sense of humour will bring out a smile on anyone in her life. Linda has always been there for me, so now is the chance for me to give her something back.
On 11th Jan 2019, I am holding a fundraiser for Linda at the Kingscliff Bowls Club from 6.30pm, and should we reach the goal of $10,000 by this date then I plan to shave off my hair and donate it to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
The funds will help Linda and Dylan with their daily living expenses, her treatment and Dylan's education. This will give Linda the opportunity to relieve some of her financial stresses.
I hope that everyone can get behind me by donating just a little, as every little bit goes a long way.
