If you can pick only one fundraiser this fall, I ask you to please join me to support my friend, Maria (Leodora) Bagobe. As a woman of faith, Maria wears a brave face for her husband, Fransico, her two young children, Jeremy and Jazlin, and our community of Shaunavon.

Maria endures ovarian cancer treatments-where she travels to Regina-, her husband’s job loss-due to COVID-19, and the realities of schooling her children in English, as an immigrant from the Philippines, through on-line learning in order that they do not bring the virus home from attending Prekindergarten and Kindergarten in a school setting.

The Bagobe family will need to relocate to Saskatoon where Fransico has found work, yet they require financial support as they must rent a place in Saskatoon while they continue to pay their mortgage on their home in Shaunavon, until it is sold.

The stress that accompanies this move is overwhelming, yet this family is too proud to ask for help. I ask that you be an  “angel on earth” for Maria and her family. Please keep them in your prayers and if you can, please support them financially. Thank you!
