Hello! My name is Jackie Hay, and my husband, Garrett, and I have three beautiful children: Avery (2), Logan (3 months), and Benjamin (3 months). Ben was diagnosed with a severe congenital heart defect that has required him to be hospitalized in the Cardiac ICU since birth. Ben's condition is complicated; he's receiving a lot of support through medication, a ventilator, a feeding tube, and a VAD (a surgically implanted device to assist with his cardiac output). His medical team has recently determined that a heart transplant is necessary, and the wait for an infant heart can be 6 months or longer. Ben will be in the hospital until a heart becomes available. In the meantime, Garrett and I will be splitting our time between the hospital, another baby at home, and our toddler. Garrett continues to work full time, and I will be taking an extended unpaid leave of absence from work.

Please help us cover expenses related to Benjamin's hospital stay, transplant, and post-transplant medications.
