I am reaching out to share the story of my 6-year-old son, Grayson Grizzly, and our efforts to raise funds for an epilepsy service dog that will significantly improve his quality of life. Grizzly was diagnosed with focal epilepsy, and his neurologist has recommended a service dog to help him manage his condition, providing him with safety, support, and comfort during seizures.
Grizzly is an incredibly intelligent and energetic little boy. He attends kindergarten, plays baseball, is a yellow belt in karate, and loves to learn. He also attends church and Bible study every week at a local church, First Baptist Church of La Vernia, where he enjoys helping others and learning about the wonders of the Bible. His favorite color is green.
We’ve found a program that has approved him to receive a service dog, but the cost for the dog and all associated expenses totals $25,000, in addition to the travel costs for a week-long graduation event out of state. While we have a full year to raise the total amount, we need to secure $6,250 in the next 60 days to cover the immediate costs of the service dog and the deposit.
Any amount will help, even just sharing our cause will help tremendously! This is such an amazing opportunity for this young man to continue his growth and keep his independent lifestyle that he values so much!!
