To our Brasitas Friends and Family,
We would first like to start off thanking all of you that have reached out to us, called to order, shared our posts. You have no idea how much we appreciate all of your support during these difficult times. We hope all of you are being able to stay positive and healthy at home with your families.
As you all know, last Tuesday all restaurants were forced to indefinitely suspend in house dining. Which resulted in mostly all of our employees in Stamford and Norwalk to be laid off without any notice. Having to tell our employees, many of them longtime employees, that we had to temporarily lay everyone off was the hardest day we have ever faced in our 22 years of business. Every day, our hard working employees come in eager to feed and serve our customers with our authentic and quality food in our welcoming atmosphere. Many of them have developed great relationships with our regular customers over the years. Being a family owned and operated business, our employees and customers have always been considered like family to us and this has been a very challenging time for all of us.
Although we are just one of the thousands of restaurants and small businesses going through the same difficult situation. If you are able to help in any way, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. While we have tried to remain open the past week offering take out and delivery, we are unsure of how sustainable this model is going to be without an accurate timeline of when we can re open. Creating this relief fund for our employees, is really one of the only options at the moment to help our team navigate through this time. The entire fund will be divided between all of our Stamford and Norwalk employees, and will not only support them but their families as well.
We know our Stamford, Norwalk, and entire Fairfield County community is strong. We have been 100% committed to fighting with all of you. We know that with your support, we will be back stronger than ever. We thank you again for your consideration and look forward to seeing you all soon.
