Donate in memory of Brant Merryman

EDITED TO ADD: Memorial services will be on Sunday, April 30th from 12:30pm-3pm at the Zilker Clubhouse in central Austin. Lunch will be provided. Carpooling is recommended as parking may be limited.

All funds collected will go directly to Christina Merryman and her children, into a Merryman Trust account. Heather-Nicole Hoffman is the manager of the account, on Christina's behalf, in order to reduce the stress of sorting through the family's financial affairs.

We are all completely devastated that Brant Merryman ended his life on Sunday, March 19th. This loss has led to profound grief. His family, friends, and community are heartbroken and will miss him dearly.

In the days since we announced Brant’s death so many people have reached out, desperate to show their love and support for Brant’s wife, Christina, and their children. As you can imagine, or as you might know from your own experience, in these first days it’s hard to know what specific types of things will be most helpful to the Merryman family going forward.

Right now, we would love your support by contributing here. What those of us closest to Brant's family will find most comforting in the coming days and weeks is knowing that his family has adequate resources so they can focus fully on their grieving, their time together, and, very slowly, their healing.

In addition to helping offset memorial expenses, your contributions will help Brant’s family cover the loss of their main source of income, the loss of their employer-based health insurance as well as medical bills, including those for Brant's attempts to save himself, and counseling for the family. Unfortunately, Brant did not have life insurance and left behind three months of unpaid bills. Their available cash is limited.

We love Brant so, so much. We are lucky to have had Brant in our lives and will miss him immensely.
