Brandy's diagnosis of Chronic Nerve Neuralgia was confirmed by an MRI Nerve Study in late December.

Her symptoms began in January of 2024 with stabbing feelings in her lower abdomen. Subsequently, Idiopathic Chronic Laryngitis began. She lost her job in October of the same year. Brandy has been unable to accept a new job due to the increase in chronic pain, loss of voice and exhaustion.

Throughout 2025, she visited several doctors and specialists to determine why she feels constant buzzing, burning, and stabbing pain in her abdomen that radiates to her back, legs, and feet. In late December, her specialist from the Multiple Disciplinary Clinic confirmed with an MRI nerve study that she indeed has Nerve Neuropathy of unknown cause. Her first nerve block is scheduled for late February. She expects more than one surgery to bring her back to health and a normal life.

Brandy said, “I understand how a quadriplegic may feel. When the pain begins all I can do is sit or lay on the ground not being able to move. At times I do not have 5 minutes before an episode begins. Your mind wants to live life and move, however, your body doesn’t work.”

She hopes and expects a full recovery with a series of nerve blocks and ablations throughout this year. She began receiving financial assistance from her family; however, the financial burden is taxing, and she needs financial help to get her through treatment and back to work.

If you know her, Brandy has always participated in volunteerism in her community, raising funds for different types of charities and was a dedicated volunteer at church. She loves being around her family and friends and has done all that she can to be there for them.
