Brandy was a beautiful mother and a dedicated businesswoman just a few weeks ago. Today, she is faced with the fight for her life. Brandy suffers from Chronic Lyme Disease. In recent weeks, her illness has taken a turn for the worst its ever been.  She is unable to work, can barely walk, and is having difficulty with all daily functions.  At this time, Brandy is in a rehabilitation center, trying to relearn her life skills. Unfortunately, this disease is dismissed by many in the medical field.  Some people who suffer with Lyme do not recieve proper testing. They are misdiagnosed with diseases such as ALS, Alzheimers, Fibromialgia, or MS (to name a few).  Others are told that they have a mental illness and their symptoms are in their head. Imagine going to the doctor and being told there is nothing wrong with you when you literally can't walk, barely talk, can't feed or take care of yourself? Some doctors who advocate for Lyme treatment are bullied by the Government.  Their licenses are revoked when they stand up for their patients.The denial of Lyme Disease goes far up to the government level. For those who are diagnosed, many of their life-saving treatments are denied by insurance, and good people like Brandy are forced to pay out of pocket for ALL MEDICAL EXPENSES. Blood work, medication, and testing are ALL paid out of pocket. People like Brandy are denied fair access to the support they desperately need. Brandy was first diagnosed with Lyme Disease back in 1995. She was too sick to attend school for kindergarten and first grade. She was on home instruction many times throughout her schooling. She has been hospitalized multiple times and fought hard to recieve proper treatment. Her parents were forced into bankruptcy due to the medical expenses. We do not want Brandy to lose everything now as an adult. She was able to push forward, fight the system, and pay out of pocket for anything Lyme related. She has suffered silently every day since 1995. Now, she can re main silent no longer! We are asking for your help! Brandy needs to see her Lyme specialist, have specialized testing, and pay out of pocket for all her medical expenses. She is going to need a hospital bed in her home. She has given up her car because, at this time, she can not drive. One test that is needed will cost $5,000. That's just one of many tests. She is in a complete Chronic Lyme Flare. Yes, her business is still running, but she can no longer work along side her staff.  This loss of income leaves her in dire straights. David, her family, and friends are doing all they can to help.
