BRANDYN BAILEY NO PRICE FOR LIFE/surgery
https://www.gofundme.com/BrandynBailey
I raised my healthy son Brandyn as a single mother having full custody as he was in soccer, surfing, baseball, violin, snowboarding, and more for up to 18 years of his life. He was born is Alaska, raised in Hawaii and Arizona. He was blessed to go to visit Alaska to visit his grandmother on his dad’s side Uta. She is a true blessing. He is now 22 years old and anything he sets his mind to he accomplishes. He has given so much of himself to people, charity, hard work, faith, and helping those in need. Brandyn completed his 2 year mission in Cuernavaca, Mexico and returned on October 2016 to relocate in Utah. He has been an extreme all around athlete from very young and always very healthy. The very next day from his arrival from Mexico is when I noticed him having odd symptoms. After multiple tests he was informed by his doctor he has the possibility of Esophageal Cancer. He got a second opinion at the Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and his large tumor came back benign. Huge relief!!! Unfortunately, his tumor is still growing in size and will need to be removed. It is 5-6 cm in diameter in size (baseball in size) attached to his Esophagus for quite some time but just recently diagnosed. His upcoming surgery will generate medical bills & recovery time. It will take him out of work, upcoming school, and ongoing funds needed. We have been told that his recovery time will be between 2-12 weeks or longer depending on how well the surgery goes and if he will be able to keep his Esophagus or have one created from his stomach and completely remove his Esophagus. The doctors have indicated if complications arise then a back to back surgery will occur. This is an evasive surgery. Your donations will be greatly appreciated to assist his large medical costs, deductibles, medications, recovery, and living expenses. He just recently got married to his lovely wife Karli Anne Bailey. I ask that you keep my only son Brandyn Bailey in your prayers and thank you for reviewing his page. Any donations for Brandyn are greatly appreciated. God Bless you, your families, and my son Brandyn Charles Bailey & Karli.
Open esophagectomy
During an open esophagectomy, your surgical oncologist removes some or the entire esophagus, depending on the stage of the tumor. During this type of surgery, your oncologist may make incisions in the abdomen and chest or abdomen and neck. In some cases incisions may be made in all three of these areas. The placement of incisions depends on the location and size of the tumor.
