Brandy Crapser

As most of you know, Brandy was diagnosed with Stage Four Cervical Cancer and has been fighting it for the last year.  Up till now she has had to endure 9 rounds of Chemotherapy, multiple blood transfusions, Radiation therapy, Immunotherapy, along with a gamut of test and scans.

This last year has by far been the toughest thing that we have ever had to endure. There is truly nothing like watching your best friend, the love of your life, the mother of your child, and strongest person have ever known get knocked down, and you can’t do a thing about it but support her with love and strength. 

We have been able to weather the storm, until recently, when the Oncologist prescribed Immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is quite amazing; it teaches your body’s immune system to fight the cancer instead of using the extremely harsh chemicals in Chemotherapy. The Immunotherapy will give Brandy a chance at a long future without the heavy medication or the body breakdowns that chemo inevitably dishes out.

 Over the next two years for each treatment we will need to come up with an additional $500 out of pocket. This is needed to cover the additional cost of the treatments and other necessities for Brandy,  like medications, and special foods for her new diet. Immunotherapy is expensive, but it has an amazing track record of helping patients get back to a good place to enjoy their lives.
