Brandy was very suddenly diagnosed with terminal Stage IV Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma/GBM) in July of 2022, after experiencing a seizure and severe headaches. Shortly following her diagnosis, Brandy had a successful resection of a large tumor in her temporal lobe, carried out by the amazing team at UTSW. After fighting through radiation and chemotherapy for the better part of a year, Brandy began experiencing breakthrough seizures again, which lead us to find that, despite these treatments, Brandy's cancer was continuing to spread. We discovered another tumor growth, bigger than the first one, in her temporal lobe once more. In addition to this, we have also found new growth within her spine. Despite this, Brandy has remained exceptionally positive and cheerful, always seeing the bright side in life. We are doing our best to make the most of this time. This journey has shown us all that, despite the hardships in life, it is important to spread love and happiness as much as we can, as life is truly too short to do otherwise. Being the truly bright light she is, we want to help support Brandy as best possible through this time and ensure she is covered throughout this journey.
