Brandy and Daniel’s House Fire

On July 16th around 5 PM, an unexpected fire occurred outside of our house. It reached the front of our house taking mine Brandy and Johnny’s cars along with our entire house with all of our belongings.

My step son James discovered there was a fire on our windows and yelled to get my attention. I ran to the front door to try to get my kids out safe when we discovered the whole front of the house was on fire. James and I picked up the kids and we ran out the back door with the clothes on our backs. Our neighbors Chris and Cecilia lost their house as well and we are deeply saddened by the losses they’ve suffered.

We planned on buying this house in the coming months when my settlement comes from the Camp Fire so we didn’t have renters insurance and we just pulled money out to renew our car insurance but that was in Brandys wallet that also had $960 cash.

I understand times are tough for everybody which is why we’re not expecting much of anything but we know life happens and if you know Brandy and me you know we’re good people who would give the shirt off our backs for people we care about or people in need.

We just ask if anyone can do anything at all to help us get our ducks in a row and get out us out of what seems like a bad dream.
