Brandon’s recovery process
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Darcy and I am raising funds to help my son Brandon.
On Tuesday, August 8th, Brandon was involved in a serious workplace accident when a very large piece of equipment fell on him, pinning his legs to the ground. He has undergone two surgeries, and has suffered an unimaginable amount of pain. He had a complete tibia fracture which required putting a rod, plate, and 11 screws in his left leg. His right leg has a torn MPFL and sprained MCL, leaving both of his legs immobilized. He is only able to stand from a bed or chair with assistance from a walker, and pivot on his right leg as tolerated to get into a wheelchair. He cannot bear weight on his left leg for at least 4 more weeks.
After a full week in the hospital, he was transported home yesterday to his wife, and their two beautiful little girls, who were eagerly awaiting his return.
The coming months will entail many medical and therapy appointments which means traveling from Chisago County down to Minneapolis, and home again. Brandon is the sole provider for his family, will be out of work for a minimum of 3 months, and as an independent contractor he will have no income, as he does not qualify for Workers Compensation.
We are humbly asking for donations to help Brandon and his family as they navigate his very long road to recovery.
