Brandon’s Prosthesis Fund

Hi everyone! Meet Brandon!
Brandon has worked as an electrician for the past 20 years for the same company. He’s a quiet guy, doesn’t say much but he gets the job done. Reliable, knowledgeable, and dependable. While he might be a quiet guy, he’s the first one that’ll be there for you if you need him. I speak from experience! When my husband had an accident, he was the first one at the hospital to check in to see how he was. I had heard a lot about him, but that’s when I first met Brandon.
About 3 years ago, Brandon got a thorn in the bottom of his foot. Never felt it. Later when he got home and removed his shoes, he noticed the blood on his sock. So he did what anyone would do and cleaned it up and checked his foot. He thought he had removed the thorn completely, but he had not. He soon developed an infection with swelling and walking became painful. He sought medical attention and the remainder of the thorn was removed. Everything was great for a while. Then his foot began giving him problems once again with swelling and pain when walking. He went back to the doctor where they again drained the infection and gave him more antibiotics. As time went on the infections kept coming back, resulting in many hospital stays and several weeks to months missing work. The last infection was so painful, and his foot was just not healing the way it should. After speaking with the doctors, the infection had spread up his leg. This resulted in having to have his leg amputated up to his knee. The amputation occurred in the middle of January. After several months and wound therapy, Brandon was finally healed enough to be fitted for a prosthesis.
Here’s where Brandon needs our help. Yes, Brandon has had medical insurance. He also had sick leave and leave that had been donated to him. All the leave has been exhausted. Because Brandon has not received a check in a few months, his portion of the insurance premiums had not been paid .  He can no longer afford the prosthesis as the insurance will not cover it as the premiums have not been paid.  Not only will this pay for his prosthesis, it will also pay the unpaid portion of his premiums on his medical insurance. Please help Brandon with his prosthesis.  His desire is to be able to return to work. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you all so much!

Thank you all for a great start!  Please  share his story so we can meet the goal .
