Brandon's Miracle

Donation protected
Hi my name is Bryan Pike and I'm wanting to do what little I can to help my Brother Brandon.

Brandon was with his dog Chief on the way to Arrowrock for an overnight camping trip Friday night on the 19th. Around 9:30 p.m. Brandon was driving on the narrow dirt road that wraps around the reservoir when his truck got too close to the edge of the road. The edge gave way under the weight of his truck. The truck was pulled off the road and began to overturn. Brandon and his best friend Chief were thrown from the vehicle and down the 150 foot drop towards the reservoir. Brandon landed 75 feet down the steep rock filled embankment while his truck continued to roll the length of the embankment until it hit the water. Brandon's truck was flipped over with the wheels facing up and the cab fully submerged in the reservoir.

Bystanders who were camping saw the headlights of the truck tumble down the hill. The campers split up and one went towards cell service to call for help while another grabbed his dirt bike and went straight to Brandon's aid. The individual was able to locate Brandon laying on the side of the embankment where he was conscious and breathing but in a tremendous amount of pain. The other camper was able to contact 911 and get paramedics on their way to Brandon.

When the paramedics arrived they began to assess Brandon's condition and begin life saving measures. A helicopter was called in to get Brandon out as quickly as possible. The location of where Brandon landed was not ideal to carry him out or get a helicopter close enough. The individual with his dirtbike went back to camp and retrieved his boat to help transport Brandon to a better location. With Brandon on the boat he was moved to a flatter area to be transported to the helicopter then air lifted to St. Alphonsus's trauma center.

The medical professionals assessed Brandon and determined he had facial fractures including nasal cavity, cheekbones, forehead, along with multiple skull fractures. They also found vetebre fractures to his T-8, T-9, T-10 and a fractured rib on his left side. Brandon also had a brain bleed that caused a minor brain injury.

Brandon underwent emergency surgery that required his spleen to be removed and surgery to his facial fractures. Brandon was stabilized and put under medical sedation for the healing process.

In recent days Brandon has become conscious and is slowly starting physical therapy for his upper body. Brandon still has no response below his T-8 but he remains determined to regain that ability.

Currently we are attempting to get his bills and medical care taken care of. Brandon's dog Chief was also located and treated at a vet for minor injuries to his face, paw, bladder, and soreness. Brandon obviously wants his truck back because it is his beloved baby girl. We are going to attempt to buy the truck back and salvage what we can from it. If you would like to donate we appreciate anything you are willing to give. We are extremely grateful to the angels who came to his aid at the scene, the paramedics, the doctors, the surgeons, all the prayers from friends and family. Please do not lose hope or faith in our Brandon as we refuse to. He is a strong Man but will need all our love and support.

Thank you for taking the time to read my Brothers story. Please keep him in your prayers through this difficult process.
