Hello everyone, my name is Brandon Mullett and I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma in the fall of 2020. With this diagnosis and treatment, I have experienced loss of appetite and weight loss, pain, severe depression and anxiety, and inability to walk from weakness and neuropathy. I have become more physically dependent on my family and wife Tina. I have gone through 2 different treatment regimens, both of which required inpatient stays at Lacks Cancer Center in Grand Rapids, and suffered a number of side effects that have complicated my cancer journey. In July of 2021, again due to progression of my cancer, I started a 3rd treatment regimen that requires weekly treatment at Lacks, an hour and a half away from our home. While all of this has been going on, Tina and I have had to ask for financial help from both family and through different foundations. Currently, Tina receives a very small monthly stipend as my caregiver, but we do not have any other income. While we are waiting for our approval of disability income, the financial struggle hangs over our heads, which has lead to an increase in my anxiety and several panic attacks in the past couple of months. We are asking for any and all donations that can help with purchasing basic household items (especially cleaning supplies due to my weakened immune system), toiletries, gas costs from driving back and forth from Big Rapids to Grand Rapids, some monthly bills, and medical expenses that are not covered by my insurance. Our hope for this fundraiser is to get us through this difficult time until Tina and I start receiving disability income, at which point we will be able to afford these things more easily (SSDI approval should be coming by the end of this year).
