Through any challenge my brother Brandon has faced, his heart, humor, and determination have remained constant. Even now, as he faces the toughest fight of his life, he continues to show strength in ways that inspire our entire family.

After thinking he was on the road to recovery from last year’s CHF diagnosis, Brandon’s health took a sudden turn about six weeks ago. He has been in the hospital for 5 of those 6 weeks thus far and Doctors have confirmed he’s facing either a heart transplant or surgery to insert a heart pump called an LVAD. He’s expected to remain in the hospital for at least another month after that surgery, and on medication for the rest of his life.

This is a huge lifestyle change for Brandon as he’s always been active, hardworking, and devoted to spending every spare moment with his daughter, Paislee.

The financial strain is overwhelming, and a stress I pray we can help take off of him. He’s already been out of work for over a month, and it’s uncertain when he’ll be able to return. The medical bills are mounting, and there are ongoing costs for travel back and forth to Atlanta, copays, and everyday needs; all while making sure Paislee has the stability and support she deserves while her dad heals. With that, I am creating this GoFund Me in hopes that we can alleviate any and all pressure from Brandon.

Our prayer is that God will touch him and give him as normal and full of a life as possible. Any support, whether financial or through prayer, will help ease this burden and allow my brother to focus on what truly matters: his recovery.
