Brandon's Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
I am starting this gofundme for our dear friends, The Cross Family.
Brandon Cross went to the hospital a month ago, his kidneys were failing. Some of you know, he has been a Type 1 diabetic for 33 years, along with having kidney disease. The doctors had to immediately put in a port and he has been receiving dialysis 3 days per week. Brandon needs a kidney transplant. This is going to take some time and involves a ton of testing, research, classes, and money. They were told by the doctors that they will have to have a large sum of money up front just to be put on the transplant list.
Brandon's wife, Kathleen, is currently setting 'round the clock' alarms, every two 2 hours to help Brandon check his sugar as he has been in and out of the hospital multiple times over the past month.
Brandon also has 3 beautiful daughters who have begun making "Wish Upon A Star" bracelets to help raise money for their dad's transplant. The bracelets are $2 each, made with love, and come in almost any color you can think of! If you would like to order a bracelet, email Rylie Cross @ [email redacted].
The whole family is very involved in their community and schools, and are always willing to help anyone in need. Brandon and Kathleen would literally give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. Brandon has served the community as a paramedic for almost 25 years! Brandon has filled in as the team medic for the Royal Oak Titans football team for that past couple of years whenever needed. Kathleen has been my right-hand man coaching the Varsity Royal Oak Titans Cheer team for the past few seasons. The Cross family also regularly volunteers at the South Oakland Warming Center for the homeless. Any amount you can give to help this family out will be greatly appreciated. As we learn new details about the process, procedures, and costs, we will update on this page!
Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as this will be a long and hard journey for them.
