Brandon's fight - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Donation protected

Brandon is an electrician for T&G Electric and most recently a new husband to Alexis Studiman. Brandon's journey started last summer with a lump in his arm and ear and was told it was most likely a lipoma, and that he had nothing to worry about. In October the masses started growing and further analysis was required. The final diagnosis came from the Mayo Clinic, stating Lymphoblastic lymphoma. Doctors began searching for the best treatment plan, deciding on chemotherapy, total body radiation, and finally a stem cell transplant. After months of hospital stays, the transplant and 4 months in Ottawa, Brandon was in remission.
Labour day weekend Brandon started having a high fever and flu-like symptoms. The doctors started looking for infection, but when his blood work came back negative, they went another route. A bone marrow biopsy was performed revealing that cancer had returned and spread to his bone marrow, now making his diagnosis acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Lymphoblasts in the bone marrow are considered cancerous at 20% and higher, Brandon has 80% lymphoblasts in his bone marrow. As conventional treatments of chemotherapy and radiation were no longer a viable option, the doctors suggested a new type of immunotherapy. This new procedure is only being offered in the United States and Israel and has only been accepting patients for the last year, strictly to pediatric patients.
The Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo was decided to be the best place for Brandon. This treatment will require him to be in Buffalo for 3 months for CAR-T Cell Therapy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OadAW99s4Ik&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR0rc8MxL88694LE29rTexIN9F8fU8VJP9G_pAGJP4uFFytKgzPW5-85GBc
We are hoping that after this treatment, Brandon will again be in remission, and will continue to live the life he is deserved. Brandon has an amazing attitude, despite his medical challenges. Brandon and his wife are unable to work during his treatment, and recovery time will be needed after treatment as well. This GoFund me page will really help him during his battle.
