Brandon's Angels & Heros

Brandon Hubbard (Husband and Father of 2 - Addie 2 1/2 yrs, and Matthew 11 mo, ) has been stricken suddenly with the rare disease "Guillain Barre Syndrome" this is a very physically debilitating disease that unmercifully attacks the central nervous system causing bodily paralysis in a matter of hours. Brandon was victim of  such an attack on Friday December 14th 2018,  he was hospitalized on Saturday night December 15th in a state of almost total paralysis.  Brandon is currently being treated for this disease using a method called Plasmapheresis. Plasmapheresis is a process whereby they remove the blood plasma that he currently has in his body containing the destructive antibodies that are attacking his nervous system, similar to dialysis: and specifically removes these antibodies from the plasma portion of the blood.  The blood is then replaced by another solution such as saline or albumin or the plasma is treated and returned to the body.  This disease has a devastating effect on the victim as it can leave them immobile and unable to move for several months. GBS is fully recoverable in 70% of its cases, but the recovery time even in these cases ranges from 6 months to possibly several years.  The reason for this go fund me account is to help the "Hubbard" family through the long tough road ahead. Brandon will undoubtedly need to have assistance for several months even accomplishing the daily routines that each of us take for granted, such as, clothing himself, personal hygiene, caring for his children, not to mention the chores that need to be done in and around the house that he had up until this point never given a second thought of not being able to accomplish.  Brandon has a great family, and is supported by them all. Unfortunately the obvious flip side of that coin is that, as each and everyone of us have family, work and other daily tasks to perform in our lives, it doesn't leave much time to be available to give Brandon and his little family the assistance that they will need during this long enduring time of recovery. We would like to be able to provide for them an outside assistance program while he re-learns to walk, run and work again, that he may be able once more to provide the life and livelihood for his young family that they deserve.
