Brandon White's Final Film

Donation protected
Detroit Musician, Filmmaker, and prolific thinker Brandon White died in October. He had recently gifted some of his friends with a short story. We are making that story into a film, using the style and techniques Brandon used and loved during his life.
The film, My Name is Charlie Holcomb is being shot using predominantly donated time on both sides of the camera but we have run into a financial roadblock. Honestly, the day we paid tribute to Brandon on Belle Isle, none of us foresaw having to beg for money to make Brandon's story a reality.
Brandon was an idea person. Maybe if he was here he would have an idea how we could proceed without outside assistance. In his absence, however, know we need you.
We have already gotten so much in terms of effort and equipment that we are forever indebted to the Detroit creative community. The small chunk of currency we are asking for will go to some crucial elements of equipment and production-like feeding our crew when they are working 12 hour days for free.
We begin principal photography this Sunday, December 22 in Hamtramck, Michigan.
Any immediate financial help we can get will be appreciated more than we can possibly express here.
Some people get a memorial park bench or a tree.
Brandon is getting a film he wrote, shot the way he liked it, that people all over the world can enjoy and by which they can be inspired to think.
Thank you.
