Supporting survivors who fought for their lives

My name is Catherine, I am Liz's mom. On Monday afternoon I received a phone call no parent ever expects.
"Mom? You need to come home, we've all been stabbed."
On Monday afternoon, our lives were changed forever. My daughter, her best friend and her partner were at our home playing video games when a known individual came into the house and violently attacked all 3 of these precious humans. His intent was to end my daughter's life. Their instincts kicked in and these kids fought like hell. Brandon threw himself between the attacker and Liz several times and sustained 19 wounds. Thankfully the swift actions of neighbors brought the necessary medical and law enforcement attention and everyone was taken to local hospitals. The attacker has since been detained. Currently, Liz and Brandon are both still in the hospitals receiving care for their injuries.
Their needs are great. Both will be unable to work for some time and I don't believe Brandon has health insurance currently. Brandon's car has been parked outside my house ever since the incident and every time I pass it, my heart sinks. His exhaust is being suspended with straps and clearly needs some TLC. This kid is a hero in my eyes and deserves a chariot for saving my baby. My wish is that we can raise enough to support them though this time and help get them back on their feet and at least not be financially burdened by surviving this ordeal.
We live in a small town, and so many people have reached out to offer help. The best way you can help is to help me get these kids back on their feet. Let's fix Brandon's car, or maybe find him something better! Any extra funds will be used to keep their current bills paid, and cover any unpaid medical expenses so they can focus on healing, physically and mentally.
