Brandon Saltzman

In 2019, 21 year old Brandon was diagnosed with astrocytoma a cancer that occurs in the brain. Since 2019 the tumor area has been treated.

October 2021, Brandon was diagnosed with a new type of cancer called angio-sarcoma.

Dec. 15th - Brandon went back in the hospital with a brain bleed. They started radiation on Dec. 16th to hopefully get the bleeding under control.

Dec. 23rd - Brandon had been doing well the last couple of days and moved to Madonna rehabilitation center that afternoon.

Jan. 2nd - Brandons condition has deteriorated over the last couple of days. They transported him back to the hospital at little while ago. A CT scan showed a new brain bleed that is blocking his brain fluid from draining out and has caused hydrocephalus. They are going to put a drain in to help drain out some of the fluid and give him some relief. Then they will assess him and see if they can do anything for the bleeding.

Jan. 3rd - We received the news we didn’t want to hear but were expecting. Brandon’s cancer has aggressively spread in his brain. All of his doctors have agreed that his cancer has run its course and there is nothing more that can be done surgically or treatment wise. We are putting him in comfort care and hospice, if we get that far.

Jan. 3rd - Brandon Saltzman passed away late this evening.
