Hi, my name is Byron Pirolo. I am Brandon's dad.
Brandon was seen on October 2nd for dizziness, headache, and many other rapidly worsening symptoms. The emergency room scanned his head finally and "recognized something serious."
We had been pushing for a head scan since June, but insurance blew him off.
They transferred him to a better-equipped hospital and removed a 5.7-centimeter Astrocytoma Tumor, grade 4.
The prognosis without God intervening could be 12 to 15 months. But our family believes in prayer and healing and covet your prayers. God has already used this event to turn Brandon's heart completely back to Himself.
More updates through this process can be seen on a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/840180497158541/
"Brandon lived with us in Hong Kong and delivered Bibles across the border to the house church network with his Dad. He then returned the next year to help with the kids and ministry when Kathy had cancer. He has always been thoughtful of others. He has a 10-year-old daughter he just started reconnecting with.
If anyone deserves a second chance, Brandon would be at the top of the list." Byron
"The first thing that comes to my mind when you say the name, Brandon Pirolo, is “generosity, even to a fault.” Brandon always puts other people first, even to his lack. For example, I know of numerous occasions when he went without eating to provide food for a friend in need. “What can I do to help you” is his first thought in relationships. And with a joyful, kind, loving spirit, with no thought of returning. His ‘repayment’ is his satisfaction that he has helped someone in need." Grandpa Neal
"I have never heard him say anything mean or cranky to or about
anyone. He has always been kind -caring about other people, just
having a caring personality. Never the "tough" guy." G-ma Yvonne
I’m Brandon’s older sister, Sarah. I was supposed to do a road trip to WA last Thanksgiving, November 2021. God clearly stopped me with my car being out of commission for multiple weeks. I took that as: I’m not supposed to do the road trip. So I didn’t. I hadn’t seen my brother in a few years. My dad asked me to pray for Brandon because he fell and had a concussion and bad limp and wasn’t doing well. I decided to fly to WA to visit him since I didn’t get to go in November and felt that I needed to go soon. I saw Brandon on Oct 2 and felt so overwhelmed by seeing him, my super sweet brother, in the state he was in that the first thing I did when I left his apartment was sit in my car and cry. He had a shockingly bad limp, no use of his right arm, would get dizzy, have double vision, shake/muscle spasms, and more. He blamed it on a sciatic nerve issue and a concussion he sustained. He didn’t think he needed to go to the ER but that waiting weeks for a doctor to refer him to get some tests would be fine enough. I begged him to go to the ER with me that day but he said “maybe tomorrow”. So, I stayed as long as I could, then went to my car and cried. I prayed and prayed that he would be willing to go to the ER with me the next day. Sunday morning I went to church. God told me that He brought me to Brandon for a reason, that I was supposed to use the gifts God’s given me to help him physically and spiritually. God then told me to go and pray with a specific person (that I’ve never met) after the service. I did and that man told me that God brought me specifically because of the relationship I have with my brother, that I would be the one to get him to go to the ER and that God would use me and bring Brandon to salvation. Right after, Brandon texted saying he was willing to go to the ER with me!!! I took him to the ER and saw God’s hand working clearly again and again. First with my car breaking down, leading to this timing to visit Brandon, then by God speaking to me and giving me confirmation from a stranger, Brandon being willing to go to the ER, God telling me that Brandon needed help getting out of the bathroom to get up and get to the door right as he tried and failed to open it, to me telling the family that they found a 2.36 inch mass on his brain and they needed to come asap and them ALL being able to arrive before his brain surgery, and so many more ways! I am so encouraged by God and mostly because after finding out that he had the tumor, he prayed and committed his life to Jesus!!!!!! God said it would happen… and it did! He already has an incredible life testimony and he could use all the prayers and help he can get.
Brandon has a looong way to go. We’re bringing him to a doctor that has a high success rate but this involves travel. There are also medical bills that will be ongoing for a time. We’re trying to help him with all the cost so that he doesn’t feel stressed by it and can focus on his recovery. Thankfully his insurance will cover some of it but we could use help to cover the rest. Please considering contributing to the work God is doing in Brandon’s life and bless him in this way.
"Brandon is a great person who helped me get through an incredibly challenging situation some years back, he literally was one of the few people who I consider as being instrumental in saving my own life from a horrible situation I was in. Without his care and support and encouragement in my moment of need who knows where I would be today. Brandon deserves the same hand of cards as he gave me as he walks this new road towards recovery. Many thanks to his family and one of my best friends-Sarah, for walking this Road with him and always listening to God’s direction and her willingness to see things through. " KH
This is an initial fundraising goal as we do not know what the final cost will be.
Any funds donated will go specifically to Brandon's care or to Brandon's family's expenses to care for him.
