Brandon Pickard to Brielle Pickard
Donation protected
We are writing to share how a secure and transparent financial fund has been established in support of Brielle Pickard—a remarkable young girl with a bright future ahead.
In memory of her father and with the intent to support Brielle’s long-term education and personal growth, Megan Pickard, Ryan Thompson, and Steffen Walma have come together to create an informal trust fund on her behalf. Brielle is the sole beneficiary of this account.
To protect the funds entrusted to her, the account has been structured as an “all-to-sign” savings account—meaning that no money can be withdrawn without the approval and signature of all three trustees. This ensures that any use of the funds is deliberate, secure, and in alignment with Brielle’s best interests.
The trustees have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which governs how the funds are to be administered: Brielle will receive the full amount in the account on her 21st birthday.
Prior to that, any requests for funding must relate directly to post-secondary education (e.g., tuition, books, or academic-related living expenses), and will require unanimous approval by all trustees.
This structure offers the protections of a formal trust—security, oversight, and accountability—without the legal costs or complexity that often accompany traditional trust arrangements. It ensures that every dollar contributed will remain preserved for Brielle’s future, and can only be used to support her education or be given to her directly when she reaches adulthood.
We are grateful for the love and support that continues to surround Brielle. If you are considering a donation or simply wanted to understand how her future is being safeguarded, we hope this message brings you confidence and clarity.
