My name is Teresa, and I’m writing with a mother’s heart! I am asking for help on behalf of my son, Brandon Parrish. At just 40 years old, Brandon is facing the fight of his life way to early— a battle no parent ever imagines their child will ever have to face. Everyone that knows me and my family knows we never ask for anything. Well, now I am asking for help!

Brandon was diagnosed in June with Stage 3B Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of lung cancer. The latest PET scan showed that Brandon’s original tumors have shrunk by about half, which is encouraging news. Unfortunately, some new spots have appeared, and his cancer has now progressed to Stage 4.

He’s completed his 35 rounds of radiation and two types of chemo and recently began his first round of immunotherapy in October. Because of the new growth, his doctor wants him to start "Dual Immunotherapy" on Thursday, November 13 — a treatment that offers greater potential benefits but also carries much higher risks. His treatment plan, hospital stay and constant doctor appointments has been intense and exhausting . These treatments have taken an enormous toll on his body and spirit.

As his mom, I see firsthand not only the physical and mental struggles he endures but also the emotional and financial weight this has placed on him. While we are doing everything we can as a family to support him, the expenses have become overwhelming.

Brandon urgently needs financial support to cover:

• Monthly insurance premiums

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Costs of ongoing treatments

• Basic living expenses and household bills
