Brandon Maguire Memorial Fund
Brandon left us too too early after a harrowing battle with Stage IV cancer. Until his last days, Brandon inspired us with his courage, determination and light-hearted spirit. We all know the side of Brandon that would make you laugh, make you scratch your head and think, or make you excited to hang out with him the next time. Brandon was also an incredibly caring and thoughtful man. He thought everyday about how he could provide and support for those closest to him. He also found he was a natural mentor, encouraging others to use their capabilities for positive change and forward movement.
It is because of these qualities, Brandon requested a memorial fund be established; designating funds to help his mother, Karin and partner, Stephanie during this difficult time. Additionally, he desired a portion be allocated to two organizations leading the conversation and research on prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer.
“By 2030, colon cancer cases are expected to increase by 90%. And rectal cancer cases are expected to increase by 124% in patients age 35 and younger.” This doesn’t have to be the case and it shouldn’t. Help us make a change in the outcome of early onset colorectal cancer diagnosis.
