Brandon Gonzalez was in a terrible motorcycle crash and we need your help.
My name is Chris Dougherty, and I received a call today regarding Brandon Gonzalez, the chassis technician I worked with at Diamond RV Centre in West Hatfield, MA while I was the service manager. Brandon came to us from Montana, a nice young man, out of the military with automotive and Diesel experience. His wife had received a scholarship at a local college which is why they moved here.
Sara Hayden at Diamond called me to tell me that Brandon was in a terrible motorcycle accident on Saturday on his way home from work. Apparently, a car did a U-turn directly in front of him and he had no time to stop, ramming the side of the small car and being flipped off the bike. Injuries include a concussion with associated short term memory loss, cerebral swelling and bleeding, compound fracture of the shoulder and a crushed arm and hand that was run over by the vehicle. He is currently at Baystate Medical Center receiving treatment, although surgery has been delayed because of the cerebral bleed and swelling.
Sara informed me that the staff at Diamond wanted to help, and the idea surfaced for this campaign. Brandon is in for a long, difficult recovery, and his wife Brittni and young daughter Carina will need all the support they can get.
We are raising funds to help Brandon, his wife and daughter with medical bills, which will be huge, and an extended period of lost income, as he clearly will be unable to return to work. We are hoping that this campaign will be able to give them some financial relief immediately.
