Brandon Gaare Cancer Diagnosis

If you know me well, you know or have heard about "my Kim." We met in 8th grade when this Dallas girl moved to Humble, Texas, and the rest is history. We have been the ride or die kind of best friends since. Her family is my family and my family hers. We are the family you choose (isn't it amazing how God "assigns" some of our family members and blesses us with other "chosen" ones along the way?!?!). Kim and her family are some of life's greatest blessings to me and mine.
In mid-July, Kim’s oldest son, Brandon Gaare, became ill. He was misdiagnosed with possible hepatitis. When that test came back negative, he was sent to a gastroenterologist. That appointment was set for 2 weeks later. Upon meeting with the gastroenterologist, he was immediately sent to the ER due to severe jaundice. After more procedures and tests, Brandon was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Cholangiocarcinoma. Since mid-August, he has been in the hospital more than he has been home... Most recently a month-long stay in MD Anderson's ICU.
At 28, Brandon was just entering the prime of his life when this devastating diagnosis absolutely stole the wind from his sails. He recently landed his dream job as a Software Engineer with Warner Brothers and started making future plans with the love of his life. Brandon and his family know that the road ahead will be a difficult one, but they are up for the fight and in it for the long haul. Continuously growing expenses are a major concern as together the family and doctors fight this beast of a cancer. I love this family as my own, and, with some arm twisting, they approved my sending out this information and opportunity to help these precious ones. If you feel led to contribute to his rapidly growing medical expenses, Brandon and the family would be honored. Above all I ask that you join us in praying for Brandon, his family, and the medical team. We serve a mighty God. We know He is still in the business of healing.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
All for Him,
Angela
