Hi, my name is Lisa, Aunt Lisa to Brandon. He is my one and only nephew and I would be lost without him. In January 2020, he was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic colon cancer at the age of 26. The doctors started him on chemotherapy, but over time they realized it was not working for him. He was tested for Lynch Syndrome and was positive. Lynch Syndrome is a condition that increases the risk of many kinds of cancer and is a type of inherited cancer syndrome associated with genetic predisposition. Once they determined this, his oncologist started him on immunotherapy, this has saved his life. The cancer did spread to his liver, he had 7 tumors on his liver and now they have crystalized. He is now in remission and has been given two choices to proceed with treatment, a liver transplant or liver resection surgery. After weighing the options he has chosen to have the surgery.
He works in the carpentry business and has continued to work everyday that he can. He works extermely hard for his family of 5. His children are everything to him and what has giving him strength to keep going.
At this time, he is scheduled to have 2 surgeries to shut down 70% of his liver and cut out area that had the tumors on it. He will be out of work for a period of 2 to 3 months. No work, no income of any kind. I am asking that you please help Brandon and his family during this difficult time. Brandon is always there for his family and friends, always willing to help any possible way he can, I would like to be able to help him out during his time of need. Any amount would greatly be appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read Brandon's story and wishing good health and wellness to you all.
