Tragedy in our wrestling family: We're gutted to announce that our beloved former teammate and friend, Brandon Davis, was killed in a car crash in Anchorage on Saturday, June 6, at 18 years old. Brandon was universally liked and respected by teammates, peers, and coaches for his admirable work ethic, friendliness, and infectious smile. Anyone who spent time with him knows that he was amicable and sportsmanlike, but also incredibly tough and driven, in the true spirit of the sport of wrestling. Coaches and teammates will both attest to the fact that Brandon was always among the hardest workers in any room, and he has rightly earned the respect of those who will continue to keep his memory alive. Brandon was an incredibly talented wrestler with a heart of gold, and he will be sorely missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. To see any life snuffed out so young is nothing short of devastating, and we are collectively crushed by this loss.
West Wrestling Boosters is reaching out to our wrestling family and friends everywhere to help Brandon's family pay for funeral costs. Please consider making a contribution in any amount you can to help Brandon's family with this unexpected and tragic expense.
