Brandon Davenport's fight against Cancer.

Donation protected
Brandon and Paige Davenport have made their mark on both our small community and the country music industry. Paige born and raised in our small Grainger Co. and Brandon who has made a career singing live and showing his love for country music in Gatlinburg, TN. I have witnessed myself the love these two have for everything they do, they put their all into everything they have and go hard until the finish line. That has now included Brandon's recent cancer diagnosis. On January 31st, 2024 Brandon was diagnosed with carcinoma of the unknown primary after being in the hospital on and off for 3+ weeks with doctors doing their very best to locate the source and make a treatment plan that would finally come with answers and the road to recovery. The answer wasn't what either of them wanted to hear but their presentence makes them the worst people cancer could have chosen. We believe in God's healing and believe that despite doctors opinions on it being treatable not curable are just that, opinions. We are believing in full healing and total recovery. However, during this time has brought on an income loss. Brandon has residencies at 3 major restaurants in Gatlinburg, TN sharing what he loves most, his music. Through all this, I believe the thing that has hit him hardest is not being able to do what just that. They have two beautiful children, Blayne and Kaitlyn at home, and Brandon and Paige are the last people to ask for help but they're the first ones to give their time, money, the shirt off their back to help someone else. I'm hoping we can support them until they find their footing and their normalcy in all this and can focus 100% on fighting this cancer the way it should be fought so Brandon can get back to doing what he loves! Please pray for guidance and healing for Brandon and the family. Any thoughts, prayers, anything are so overwhelmingly appreciated to Brandon and Paige

Please follow their journey on his music page for updates on his progress and his music! Health has caused some postponements but 2024 is still bringing a lot of exciting things for his career! Don't miss out on that!

Most Recent Brandon Update (Per Paige:) 2/2/2024 (Week Of)

Friday, 2/2 - 10:15p
This week has been another roller coaster.
Monday - He had a decent day. Had a paracentesis (fluid drawn off his abdomen), which is a huge relief to him. We were told he would have the PET scan on Tuesday.
Tuesday - I got to the hospital around 10 as we were told he would be having the PET scan around noon. I walked in to complete turmoil, as someone dropped the ball on the PET scan and it didn’t get scheduled. Once he was told this, the day turned into a drag as he was discouraged as we had our minds set on we would get the scan and have answers to everything so we could get a treatment plan in place. We were told on Tuesday afternoon the scan was for sure on the schedule for Wednesday at noon.
Wednesday - Wednesday was the day we had been waiting on for 2 weeks. 2 weeks of fighting, 2 weeks of the unknown, 2 weeks of my husband laying in a hospital bed, being told he has Cancer but where were not sure where it was or where the primary source was. He woke up Wednesday morning, needing to do his morning routine, get out of bed and go sit on the toilet. He was weak, and in some pain so I told him I would give him privacy to let me know when he was finished I would help him back to bed. As I was sitting here waiting for him, all of a sudden I heard a loud crash. A crash that sounded like a Mack truck coming through the door. Brandon had sat on the toilet until his feet were asleep. When he began to stand his feet and legs gave and he fell. This led to a STAT head CT, that came back normal. He went for the PET scan around noon, I was able to go sit with him while he waiting as it is not typical to have a PET while inpatient. This is something I had to FIGHT for as we weren’t getting answers and his health wasn’t getting any better. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the results back as soon as we were told. After the scan, he wanted Panda Express and that’s exactly what he got. Also, he had put in a request to our friend Sess, that he need some of her homemade cupcakes. She delivered those too!!
Thursday - He woke up and was in a decent mood. The Hospital doctor came in and told us a little about the PET results. Brandon was uncomfortable the most of the day due to the fluid buildup. The oncologist came in and spent a little over 2 hours with us, going over the results, showing us the images of the PET, the treatment plan and his official diagnosis. He has been diagnosed with Carcinoma of Unknown Primary. This meaning they can not see where the primary starting point is. He started his first round of chemo last night and it completed around 3 am this morning.
Friday - Shew what a morning it was. Brandon woke up and was a bit confused. He knew who I was, who the kids were and that he was in the hospital, but he didn’t know which hospital he was in. That was rough, mentally for me seeing him in that shape. Once we got him back with us mentally, we found out his potassium was high and his sodium low. With that there’s been a bunch of meds given today to try and get this all evened out. He had fluid drained and has rested the most part of the day. The evening he put in his supper request to his mom and dad. As request, they delivered with some Chesapeake’s. He got a FaceTime call from Aldean’s and was able to speak to the crowd (that made his night). He has his belly full and is ready bed.
Specific Prayer Request:
- There isn’t a lot of side effects from the chemo
- He is able to rest
- The treatment plan they have him on works
- The meds they have him on control his pain
- His electrolytes stabilize
- He is able to go home soon
Thank you all again for all the prayers, love and support given. We love you all!
