Brandon Cunningham Memorial Fund

Brandon Cunningham, 48, passed away Sunday evening, March 24th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his daughters, Karina (21) and Piper (17) Cunningham; his sister, Miranda Martin; his partner, Lane Forsander; and many close friends. Brandon loved music, movies, and laughter. He also loved to share his knowledge and passions with others, and with his charm, empathy, and witty sense of humor, he naturally excelled as an educator and a leader. Brandon was remarkably artistic. A talented musician, filmmaker, playwright, voiceover artist, and writer, he constantly sought to express himself and give back to and collaborate with those creative communities which so inspired him.

Brandon passed very suddenly from Diabetic Ketoacidosis after changing medications for his Type 1 Diabetes. He had just started a new job one week prior, so his medical insurance had not kicked in yet. There will be many expenses to cover for the paramedic services, ambulance transport, emergency room care, and ICU care, all of which will be out of pocket since his new insurance was not yet active. On top of that, there are the costs of laying him to rest.

The unfortunate reality is that Brandon's passing leaves his family not only with tremendous grief, but also these large debts from both medical and funeral expenses. The best way to support the family through this time is to help alleviate some of this burden. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and go directly to his medical and funeral expenses.
