Brandon Bernstein/Putter Smith Duo

Dear Friends

I am excited to announce that I will be recording a duo album with one of my greatest mentors and musical heroes, the legendary bassist Putter Smith on May 10. For those of you who may not know, Putter has performed with Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey, Ray Charles, Alan Broadbent, Lee Konitz, Warne Marsh and T-bone Walker, among so many other legends. I have been immensely honored over the past ten years to have had the opportunity to get to know, perform and learn so much wisdom from Putter. Not only has he been one of my greatest mentors and musical heroes, but he has become one of my dearest friends. We have been rehearsing nearly every week since Fall of 2016. I believe we have something very special both musically and artistically to share. I am raising funds to produce and manufacture the recording.  The entire album will be recorded, mixed and mastered on tape, (entirely analog), and pressed to vinyl.
