Brandon and Ana's IVF Journey!
Donation protected
Hi. This is Kyle and Allyn Copeland. We brought the idea of a Gofundme to Ana and Brandon as a way to help them with their path to parenthood. Allyn and I felt we couldn't do it any justice in trying to tell their story. We asked Ana to write up a little description of all they have gone through. Please take the time to read about their journey:
"I’m not 100% sure where to start…
We would like to introduce ourselves to those of you who are joining our story for the first time. We are the Gubachs. Brandon is a paramedic with American Medical Response. I, Ana, work at Southwestern College - recently moving on from the wonderful preschool life for the chance to work with the community-based Office of Equity and Engagement. We were both born and raised in San Diego, CA, where we met through a dating app and went on our first date at a local coffee shop. We were married back in October of 2019 and currently live in Santee, CA with our furbaby, Bear.
Brandon and I started our fertility journey back in November of 2020. It all began with doctor's appointments and testing for both Brandon and I. Results showed that Brandon is viable, but I have Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and trouble ovulating.
We took our fertility journey to the next step, which consisted of our first round of medications, timed hormone injections and naturally trying. It didn’t work.
We tried three different cycles of more medication, timed hormone injections and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) procedures. I tried acupuncture, changed my diet, and prayed a lot during all of this. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.
Recently our Doctor has recommended we try In Vitro Fertilization (IVF); he let us know the cost would be out-of-pocket and anywhere between $16,000-$20,000. Since we are young, the doctor is hopeful that this could be our chance of having a baby pineapple.
This is not an easy request for us to ask, but we want nothing more than to add to our family. We wish this journey would have been easier, but we know we would be amazing parents, and we are not giving up. Anything would help for us to be able to try this one last time to make our baby pineapple miracle.
We appreciate your good vibes, prayers, or a simple share on social media if you cannot donate. We are beyond thankful for any support we receive.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to reach out to Brandon or I if you have any questions. We appreciate you all.
