Brandi's Surgery Funds

I am not normally one to create a fund me page like this however, I am in desperate need of some help at this point. Back in September, my beloved horse, Brandi, was kicked while in her pasture and suffered from a broken splint bone. We made the decision to take her to the NCSU veterinary hospital to recieve surgery. Due to the way the break happened, they made the decision to remove the part of the splint bone that broke rather than putting plates in her leg. We were warned of the possible risks from the surgery after bringing her home with the most concerning being that she would develop an infection in her leg. As we noticed that she didn't seem to be improving, we had our vet come and do radiographs. We then recieved the news that we had been afraid of. She had an infection and it was spreading rapidly. We quickly got her back to the NCSU vet hospital this morning hoping that they could somehow fix it. This is when we recieved the news that leads me here. While the easy way out would be euthanize her, we are left with one more option. They could do an intense surgery where they go in and scrape the infection out of her hock and insert bolts into her bone in hopes of getting rid of the infection both inside and outside of her bone and fusing the bone back together. Along with this they will put a hollow screw into her bone that way they can administer antibiotics directly into her bone daily.  While this would be the option I want to go with ten times out of ten, it comes with a very, very high price tag. We are being told it could cost anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000. Because of the price that this surgery would cost, I will not be able to pay for it on my own. All I am asking for is a small donation or even just a prayer. Obviously I am not trying to raise all the money here as I will put as much money towards it as I possibly can but anything helps. This is the horse that has gotten me through every difficult time i've had, who I have cried on in times of need, and who has been there for me when no one else was. This was my first horse who has done nothing but protect me, give me confidence, and love me. Anyone who knows Brandi knows that she has the absolute sweetest personality and the biggest heart.  And I just cannot let her go that easily. I want to give her ever shot at life that I can possibly give her, but I can't do that by myself. Seriously, anything helps. Brandi and I will never be able to thank you enough for your donations and prayers.
