Help Me Fight Renal Cancer
Hi everyone,
I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but life sometimes takes unexpected turns. Recently, I was diagnosed with renal cancer, and on April 8th I will be undergoing surgery to remove a tumor on my kidney.
Because of the location of the tumor, there is about an 85% chance that my entire kidney will need to be removed during surgery. While that is scary to hear, my doctor has reassured me that my left kidney is functioning at an excellent level, and that I should be able to live a healthy life with just one kidney.
Right now, the focus is getting through surgery and recovery. After the tumor is removed, doctors will run additional tests to determine if further treatment like chemotherapy will be necessary. We are all hoping and praying that this is the only spot and that surgery will take care of it.
As you can imagine, this journey comes with unexpected medical expenses, time off work, and recovery costs. I’m starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of that financial burden so I can focus on healing and getting through this fight.
If you are able to donate, any amount truly means the world to me. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page and keeping me in your thoughts and prayers is just as appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for all the love, support, and encouragement. It truly means more than I can express.
With gratitude,
Brandi Pieschel
