All about Brandi

February 20th To all of Brandi’s loving “village”. It is with heartfelt love that we let all of you know Brandi passed away peacefully this morning with her family by her side. Although we didn’t have her physical presence with us as long as we wanted, her smile, strength, and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever. We are so thankful to all of you for showing us something we have known since she walked into our lives...she made an imprint on hearts near and far and her heart will now shine through each of you.

 

This is Brandi’s latest update as of 2/10

Well friends, here is the update I didn’t want to write. Things are definitely getting harder. I just got home from a five day hospital stay from a severe infection in my abdomen. Now i have something called ascities, which is malignant fluid build up in the abdomen. I also have pleural effusion, which is malignant fluid in my lungs. Also, blood clots in my lungs. As you can imagine this has been a heavy week for my family and me. But the worse news that we got is that I am diagnosed with a rare cancer called leptomeningeal, basically the cancer is in my spinal cord and brain. This prognosis is weeks to months, but most likely weeks. It takes a village to raise children and I am asking you to be my children’s village. I know I owe some of you messages but I am unable to type, my mom is typing this for me. Please know that if you are reading this you mean a lot to me. Thank you for all your prayers and positive energy. Keep it coming.



All about Brandi has been set up to raise funds for Brandi and her  family.  Brandi is an inspiration to us all to live life to the fullest and always be positive.  Brandi has been a warrior as she has battled cancer for over 10 years since she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Brandi has shown her family and everyone else how to deal with adversity, fears, pain and the unfairness of life  that is sometimes thrown at us. This type of inspiration and attitude makes Brandi a hero to us all.
