The deterioration of a disc in my neck is causing compression on my nerves. I have been steadily losing strength and feeling over the past 4 or 5 years since the original injury occurred. I knew at some point I would need to have the c6/c7 single level fusion, however I was attempting to hold off for a few reasons. To add to everything, a horrible car crash on Mothers Day weekend has since created financial turmoil, as well as making my original symptoms much more impacting on my family's life. The shakiness/weakness in grip and numbness are not decreasing, but increasing. I am terrified knowing the possibility of another surgery is now my reality. I am still seeing financial repercussions from the cancer/chemotherapy that I went through last year. The mound of bills is overwhelming and I feel this is intense for someone of my age to have to go through. I was in amazing financial standing before the last year, things have been really hard on our little family♡
