Salutations friends, family, strangers!

My name is Candice VZH(NRH, TX), and my longest, bestest of friends, Melissa V. (Venus, TX) and her husband Chance V. have recently and abruptly found themselves as full time caregivers to Chance’s only sibling, his sister Brandelyn Boatright (Venus, TX).

They recently found out she was having major medical issues and had to be rushed to the hospital in Midlothian a week ago. At the same time, they learned that Brandy had not been seen at her job, nor reachable via phone for approx. 2-3 days. The hits kept coming, as they were informed that Brandy would have no home to return to. Precipitously, in a blink they found themselves awake for 26+ hours, filled with an array of internal, conflicting emotions. Outwardly, they cried, and were visibly shocked. Even by phone, their fears of many unknowns, were palpable to me.

They took off from work and spent hours and days with Brandy at the hospital. She was treated for dangerously low sodium levels, pain in all of her extremities, a SEVERE infection in her mouth, dehydration (full wordings of her diagnosis may be added in an update). Brandy was discharged today (4/22/24) at noon. Expeditiously, Melissa and Chance took her straight to a Dental School in Dallas to have Brandy’s dental/oral needs assessed.

Brandy needs 17 root extractions as well as 3 teeth pulled urgently. She will continue to get and keep severe infections, (which, as we recently found out can put you on a decline fast), and subsequently end up back in the hospital for another week or longer.

They were all deflated today when the Dentist gave them the cost of such a procedure(s). It must be paid prior to having the oral surgery. They could fit her in on this upcoming May 6th but only if she’s paid the $2,800 up front and total cost, otherwise they will turn her away.

If you can help this family catch their breath and breathe a sigh, please do. Your donations will go solely to Brandelyn’s dental bills, directly to the business(es), Dental practice name, Dentist/Oral Surgeon names, or any such affiliate/agency or L.L.C.
