God only gives you what you can handle and I am grateful HE has a lot of confidence in me to handle the past year.
Many of you know my story, but for those of you that may not, I will summarize.
After my mother's unexpected death in April of 2018, I took on the task of saving the home my mother loved. In September 2018, Hurricane Florence hit New Bern and the home was devastated by it's path. This left me homeless and eventually living on the property in a FEMA trailer with my dog, Spencer. Despite the destruction, I remained hopeful and determined to rebuild.
Shortly after the hurricane, in October 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I have been battling it for the past 15 months. My treatment has been a struggle, but I feel very blessed to have such a large support group and doctors that saved my life. Although this battle is not over, I am being asked to move out of my FEMA trailer and that has left me to this resort.
Normally, I am not a person that easily reaches out for assistance, but fighting cancer and rebuilding from a hurricane has depleted my savings and checking. Can you help? My goal is to recover from an upcoming surgery in my own home, with a real shower, the ability to cook in a kitchen and do simple chores like laundry. If each of you could contribute $25 dollars or whatever you can afford, I would be eternally grateful!
God Bless and Thank You.
