wir sind die Bildenen Künstler Claudia Salveé und Martin Molda. Am 29. April ist unser Atelier Molda-Salveé in Linz in Flammen aufgegangen - eine Katastrophe! Ob Brandstiftung oder Verkettung ungünstiger Umstände durch Selbstenzündung von Leinöl - die Ursache ist noch nicht geklärt. Wir sind leider nicht versichert und die gesamte Situation ist sehr komplex...
Wir haben unermüdlich gearbeitet mit 12 großartigen Helferfreunden, Ordnung geschaffen, jedes einzelne Bild vorne und hinten gereinigt und in neuen Räumlichkeiten in Sicherheit gebracht.
770 unserer Werke sind betroffen - 130 von Claudia und 640 von Martin, davon sind rund 100 Exponate verbrannt oder zerstört. Alle übrigen Bilder sind schwer beschädigt durch Ruß und Brandgeruch. Auch nach der Reinigung bleibt ein Brandgeruch und eine graue Patina auf jedem Bild - kein Exponat ist mehr im Originalzustand... Unsere Öl- & Acrylfarben, Farbpigmente, Leinwände, Bilderrahmen, Werkzeuge, Möbel etc ist alles kaputt. Der Brandexperte schätzt den Schaden auf 300.000 bis 500 000 Euro...
Der Verlust für uns, materiell und emotional, ist kaum in Worte zu fassen. Unsere Künstlerherzen bluten - Schmerz - Trauer - Abschied. Etwas, das wir erst Stück für Stück begreifen und verarbeiten.
Wir sind tief berührt über die vielen helfenden Hände, die uns sofort angeboten wurden. Von Herzen danke, liebe Familie und Freunde, ohne euch hätten wir das nicht geschafft! Der erste Schock ist überwunden und wir sehen langsam wieder Licht am Ende des Tunnels. Es liegt jetzt noch ein weiter Weg vor uns - Kosten für Aufräumarbeiten, Rechtsanwalt, Neubeginn und Bearbeitung unserer Bilder - es gibt viel zu tun...
Ein Freund von uns hatte die Idee, ein Crowdfunding zu starten für alle, die uns helfen wollen. Wir freuen uns über jede Unterstützung!

Dear Friends,
we are the visual artists Claudia Salveé and Martin Molda. On April 29, our Molda-Salveé studio in Linz went up in flames - a disaster! Whether it was arson or a chain of unfortunate circumstances leading to the spontaneous combustion of linseed oil - the cause has not yet been determined. Unfortunately, we are not insured, and the entire situation is very complex...
We have been working tirelessly with 12 wonderful friends who volunteered to help, clearing out the space, cleaning every single painting on both sides, and moving them to safety in new premises.
770 of our works are affected - 130 by Claudia and 640 by Martin, of which around 100 pieces were burned or destroyed. All remaining paintings are severely damaged by soot and the smell of smoke. Even after cleaning, a smoky odor and a gray patina remain on every painting - no exhibit is in its original condition anymore... Our oil and acrylic paints, pigments, canvases, picture frames, tools, furniture, etc. - everything is ruined. The fire expert estimates the damage at 300,000 to 500,000 euros...
The loss for us, both material and emotional, is almost impossible to put into words. Our artists’ hearts are bleeding - pain - grief - farewell. Something we are only beginning to grasp and process bit by bit.
We are deeply touched by the many helping hands that were immediately offered to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, dear family and friends - we couldn’t have done it without you! We’ve gotten over the initial shock and are slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel again. We still have a long road ahead of us - costs for cleanup, a lawyer, a fresh start, and processing our paintings - there’s a lot to do...
