Bramble Family Crisis

Hi my name is Jason Studt and I'm asking for you to help the family of one of my friends Cody Bramble. Cody is a carpenter for JE Dunn here in Omaha and has been struggling with an alcohol addiction & mental illness for several years. While this issue has been a serious problem for a while, it took a potential life or death turn this past week.

He was admitted into a (30) day in-patient treatment center this past weekend. While I’m confident that in (30) days he will be a different person, his disease has left his family is in very difficult financial situation. His (5) kids and wife are close to being evicted from their home and having their utilities turned-off. As his wife works as a laborer, there’s not enough income to get caught-up with the bills AND take care of their kids. This has been further complicated by him not being able to work while he’s in rehab and having to pay for the out-of-pocket expenses associated with his treatment. While he will get short-term disability, that isn’t enough to cover his family’s needs. In addition, they have no family support or other local help outside of their employers.

The best thing that we can do for him & his recovery is to alleviate some of his financial stressors. Helping him to address some of this debt will allow him to continue to work on his sobriety / mental health after returns home without having to worry about how he can keep the boat afloat. The following is a financial need run-down: 3 x Months of Rent & Utilities = $4,500 + Rehab Out of Pocket = $3,000 + Lost Income During Treatment = $2,500 = $10,000 of Total Need.While I realize that we may not be able to provide all that his family needs, I know that collectively we can make a good dent in it.
