I was diagnosed in 2015 with Crohns. Back then I honestly thought I had a very bad case of food poisoning. It wasn’t until I experienced locked and swollen joints unable to turn the knob to get myself out of my bedroom that I was admitted into the hospital.

After years of hospital stays, procedures, surgeries, fistulas, abscesses, depression, major weight loss, daily stomach cramps, diarrhea, constipation, swollen joints, skin tags, sleepless nights, fatigue, Biologic injections (which comes with its own side effects), low iron, missed plans, sores, diet restrictions and so much more. And to think I tried to hide it all. I was embarrassed by everything my body was experiencing. Emotionally and mentally I’m beat. So now I’m faced with an alternative way to live.
