Coming to you all hoping you can join me and my colleagues’ collaborative efforts to raise some funds for deserving kids in Sri Lanka. The funds will go to a preschool located off Negombo to provide their essential school items for when they start year 1 in the new year. The school currently has 50kids and we are aiming to get them a school bag, bottle, lunch box, a few books, colouring pencils as essentials. Depending on funds raised, we wish to collect some dry foods as well and maybe give them a small Christmas party with festive foods and get more items from the booklist if possible.

I have been fund raising for various community projects in Sri Lanka for the past 10 years. Projects such as school meals for nursery kids / Christmas celebrations / book collections for school kids / rebuilding broken down houses due to various natural disasters and supporting a kids creche have made the list amongst other things. These mass activities sometimes benefit 50- 100 children in very deserving areas of Sri Lanka. Since 2015 (a total so far of about 10,800 Pounds have been raised). Each year I am supported by my family including my two kids (Dylan 15 and Mandy 8 years of age) and friends.

This year I have some of my colleagues with a very generous heart who are supporting me to raise funds. Last year we raised £791 for the cause.
